The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan’s free PreK program for eligible four-year-old children. Our program provides hands-on opportunities to learn concepts like early math and literacy and helps each child develop social and emotional skills.
Tuition Free
For the 2025-26 school year, all families have access to free PreK through the Great Start Readiness Program, with priority given to those who need it most. Children must turn 4 years of age by December 1st.
Program runs Monday- Friday from 8:00-3:15 .

Teacher qualifications
Each classroom has an experienced, highly qualified teaching staff! A minimum of 2 teachers are in each class.
Lead Teachers hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development.
Associate Teachers hold a minimum of a CDA, a credential in early childhood development.
HighScope Curriculum
Play-based, child-centered, and grounded in research, the HighScope Curriculum features active learning at its core. In a HighScope classroom, are guided to explore, interact, and exercise their creative imagination through purposeful play. Teachers support each child’s developmental level and provide intentional lessons that are planned around eight content areas:

- Communication, Language, & Literacy
- Mathematics
- Creative Arts
- Science & Technology
- Social Studies
Teachers use the High Scope child assessment tool (COR) to observe and assess each child’s development and learning throughout the year. Child assessment data is shared with families at conferences and home visits to encourage a strong home/school partnership.
